Registration

Online registration for OCIS IV is now closed. However, if you would like to attend this conference you may register at the day(s) of the conference.

Registration Fees

All registration fees include attending all sessions, morning and afternoon tea, lunch, and attendance at the welcome reception. Day registration is not available.

All fees are in New Zealand dollars and are inclusive of GST (Goods and Services Tax of 12.5%).

** Student attendees must provide valid student identification upon arrival at the conference.


Cancellations and Refunds

Any amendments and/or refunds must be notified in writing and/or electronic mail to John Walker (ocis@auckland.ac.nz) at The Centre for Continuing Education, The University of Auckland.

Cancellations received in writing up to 20th May 2010 will receive a refund, less 20 per cent. Cancellations received from 21st May 2010 will not receive a refund but a substitute delegate is welcome without penalty.

Letters of Invitation

Do you need a letter of invitation to visit New Zealand?

If you require a letter of invitation in order to secure a visitor visa, you must first register for and pay all applicable registration fees. Once all fees have been paid, an email requesting a letter of invitation should be sent to the conference organiser.

The committee for OCIS, the organisers of this event, the Centre for Continuing Education, nor The University of Auckland bears any legal responsibility for any visiting conference delegate.

Requirements for International Visitors entering New Zealand

All overseas visitors are required to have a valid passport and, with the exception of delegates from visa-free countries (please see below), are required to have the appropriate visa. For information on obtaining a visa, including necessary funds and health requirements, please visit: www.immigration.govt.nz. We suggest that you allow for a minimum of 2 months to have your visa processed by Immigration New Zealand or the applicable New Zealand embassy or consulate in your country of residence.

**** Including nationals of the USA.
***** Greek passport holders whose passports were issued on and after 1 January 2006. (Greek passports issued before 1 January 2006 are not acceptable for travel after 1 January 2007).

United Kingdom and Australia

British citizens and other British passport holders who produce evidence of the right to reside permanently in the UK can visit for up to six months without a visa.

Australian citizens and people who hold a current Australian permanent residence visa or a current Australian resident return visa do not need a New Zealand visa to enter New Zealand.

Visa applicants from Iran and Pakistan

Citizens of Iran and Pakistan are advised they should allow at least eight weeks for their NZ visas to be processed, as well as two weeks for Australian transit visas, to avoid disappointment. All applications for New Zealand visas must be submitted via the NZ Immigration Office in Dubai at:

Transiting through Australia

If your flight has a stop-over in Australia, you may be required to obtain a transit visa. Please visit www.immi.gov.au or contact your nearest Australian Embassy for more information.
