Air travel
Auckland has international air connections and direct flights to all major Australian, New Zealand and Pacific cities offering ease of access for international and domestic participants. A two and a half hour flight from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, it will be easy for Australian delegates to travel to Auckland. Competition among international carriers (Air New Zealand, Qantas, Emirates, Pacific Blue, Lan etc.) means the difference between travel to New Zealand and equivalent travel within Australia is not significant. The following indicative fares suggest the difference is approximately $AUS200-250 on a roundtrip ticket.
